Puppy Foundation Course
Our Puppy classes are carefully formulated to help give you the skills to bring up a happy, well-rounded, and confident dog.
We cover the basics such as recall, loose lead walking, place commands, and other behaviours such as drop, leave it, down, and more.
Each class will also look at things like dog body language; how to recognise if your dog is feeling stressed or overwhelmed and how to deal with that and how to properly socialise your dog to the world.
Our classes are based inside but we also work outdoors if weather permits to get more natural training environments. The first session of the course will be online, this is a chance to practice in a low-pressure environment (your home) and gives young pups the time to settle and bond with you– without being overwhelmed by somewhere new.
The minimum age for pups to start the first practical class is 9 weeks. Exempt breeds welcome.
These classes are currently suspended, please get in touch if you are interested in 1-2-1 puppy support.
Puppy Advanced Course
Puppy Advanced is a course designed for puppies who have either already completed my 6 week puppy course or new puppies from 16 weeks up to 1 year old and who want to work on social skills in a controlled environment.
This course will include recall introducing a whistle, loose lead walking, working around distractions and other behaviours such as focus on guardian, wait progression and more.
You will learn:
- How to deal with unwanted situations
- Exercises to build engagement
- Information on breed-specific behaviours.
These classes are based outside in a 4 acre secure field and will last for 1 hour. Exempt breeds welcome.
